Our History
Montgomery & Sons, Inc. began in 1960 as a small business, doing small home repairs such as gutters and mailboxes. Brothers, Bob and Deni Montgomery, were both working at their father’s collision shop in Pontiac, Michigan, but dreaming of owning a business of their own.
With a bit of seed money from their father, Tom Montgomery, they bought a truck, painted it red, hired their first employee and began doing small home repair jobs in the Pontiac area.
Business grew rapidly and the brother’s reputation for quality work led to larger jobs and a focus on insurance claims and fire restoration and windstorm repairs. By 1970 their operation had grown to include 17 trucks, 19 employees and an office and workshop on M-59 in Waterford.
The brothers passed the business on to Tony Montgomery who continued to run the company with the same high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction as did the founders.
TODAY
Through boom times and bust, Montgomery & Sons, Inc. continues as a steady presence in the community. Fourth generation owner, Logan Montgomery, continues to provide customers with unmatched home restoration services and quality home repairs from a 15,000 square foot facility in Orion, MI.
